Wick is a fairly medium sized town of Scotland and well known among tourists for its Bay, Castle, museum and the world's shortest street. The 2001 census reports its population well above 7000. Wick is located in the north of the Highland and has the honour of being a royal burgh.

Wick Bay forms the shape of a triangle and remains open throughout the year. The real interest for tourists lies in the Inner Harbour where a huge marine complex has been erected and the place now acts as a magnet for the local and foreigners alike. Many facilities are provided by the local government in this area to draw more visitors towards the bay.

The Old Pulteney Distillery that is known throughout Scotland is still producing some of the finest malt whisky in the Scottish territory. The 12th century built Castle of Old Wick used to be a breathtaking piece of architecture. Today its splendor is visible through its tall tower and people who are familiar with the history of this castle often come to this site.

Wick Heritage Museum focuses on the history of the town in many interesting ways. A recent addition of the audio section in the museum allows the visitors to listen to some very fine articles about the town's history.

Back in 2006 the town got its name in the Guinness Book of Records as its street Ebenezer Place was named as the world's shortest street. The street measures 2.06 meters and has only one door.
