The coastal resort of Southsea in the English County of Hampshire is famous for its castles and beach. Being a small town doesn't mean that Southsea is less developed, on the contrary the town has a bustling commercial street where all the major multinational brands outlets can be found.

Royal Marines Museum is one of the top notch attractions in the town. The museum is so well organized that it has won several awards in the recent history. It tells about all the stages of a Royal Marine and there are elaborated brochures and guidebooks available for the interested candidates. Be it the World War II or any other major war that British have participated in, this museum captures each and every bit of the violent battles that this nation has fought so far in the recent times. Some of the rarest Navel medals are systematically arranged in its hall and a brief description with each medal make the whole tour a lot more informative.

The most famous castle of the area is the Southsea Castle which was built in the middle of the 16th century to guard the town against foreign invasions. The unique style of defense mechanism that this castle has introduced has helped the natives to stay secure from any major defeat. The underground tunnel is of special interest to visitors.

Southsea Beach attracts incoming visitors and they can spend some quality time with good local company. The nearby shops remain open throughout the day to facilitate the tourists.
