The burg of Blairgowrie is often mentioned in the same breath as Rattray because they are twin cities. Don't make the mistake of saying this to a local, though, because there they simply call the whole area "Blair". Blairgowrie and Rattray may not be as well known as some of the bigger tourist attractions in Scotland but the town is making a name for itself from a whole different direction that is arguably more integral to the country as a whole. For this reason everybody in Scotland should feel that it is their duty to pay a visit to the lush orchards of Blair at least once in their lives.
