County Down is one of the well known counties of Northern Ireland. The county has well above four hundred thousand inhabitants which makes it the fourth most populated county of Northern Ireland. Mourne Mountains are every tourist's dream. Special arrangements are made for tourists so that they can trek the mountains through well managed paths. The view from these paths is simply matchless. One can witness the rivers flowing along these mountains and if you are planning to come with your friends then this place offers many opportunities to explore the surrounding area. Alternatively you can also drive around without missing the stunning landscape of this place. During your exploration you will reach the Silent Valley where you can witness some of the really astonishing sides of nature.

The Northern Ireland Aquarium known as Exploris is located in Portaferry. It was opened in 1987 so that the visitors can have in depth knowledge about the marine life of the adjacent islands. The aquarium got immense popularity and was extended and many new sections were added in 1994 and it was then re-opened by Prince Charles. A new Seal Sanctuary that was opened in the year 2000 has truly taken the aquarium to an entire new level of popularity. Exploris by its record always provided the kids and adults an equal opportunity to learn about the marine life.
