The small village of Gairloch is located on the Loch Gairloch along the northwest coast of Scotland. Thanks to the its location to the water, Gairloch started out as a fishing village. Today it has become a popular location for tourists to come and visit.

Because it's on the coast of Scotland, Gairloch is known for its beautiful seascapes. Many people come just to take in the beautiful sceneries. Walking the beaches, taking a boat out, whatever it takes to enjoy the picturesque beauty that is Gairloch.

Of course while you are enjoying the views it doesn't mean that you can't enjoy some activities while you are there. And being on the sea the most obvious place to head is the beaches. You will need to keep an eye on your children while you are on the beach but it is a place to hang out, enjoy the views and soak up some sun.

If you want to enjoy the water but you don't really want to hang on the sand and would rather be on the water then charter a boat. Fishing is what started the town. People still enjoy fishing these waters for brown trout. You can head out on a boat and enjoy the sea, the views and a fresh fish dinner.

If you aren't into fishing but you would like to head out in the ocean there are boats that will take you out just to see the views. While out on these type of boats you will get to see not just the views you will get to see but also wildlife. You might get to see some animals in their natural habitat without hurting them.

For the avid golfer there are golf clubs that are open to visitors. The Gairloch Golf Course is open to all visitors. Not only is the course challenging enough to keep it interesting to even the most experienced player it also affords you the same breathtaking views that you would expect from the Gairloch area. If you aren't into golfing but still want to enjoy the views from the course you can still visit and have lunch or a quick snack.

So you want to enjoy the outdoors and you've already enjoyed the beach and sea and even take in the golf course, though you might not play. Fear not there are other activities to enjoy such as hiking, biking or taking a pony trek through the hills. You can go sailing or even just check out the local wildlife.
