Bromsgrove is located in the county of Worcestershire. The early 9th century is the first time that Bromsgrove is documented as being a town. Though it's name was Bremesgraf it was later changed to Bremeburh, Bremesgrave before it finally became Bromsgrove. Prior to the Domesday Tomes it was known as to be home to the Royal chief manor. It was known for its woodland economy as well many different types of industry. This town is known for being home to the Bromsgrove Guild who was responsible for the building of the Buckingham Palace gates.

The Avoncroft Museum of Historic Building is an interesting spot for visitors to enjoy. This unique building has historic buildings that span over seven centuries. These buildings were saved from total destruction and rebuilt on this site. Here visitors will walk from building to building and experience a different time period in each. You will step back in time to the 16th century by visiting a Tudor building. Learn how they lived and what it was like to live during that time. Or check out the Toll Keeper's house and see what it was like to live in the 1800s. Of course there is the extravagant Edwardian living wagon. These were used by travelling showmen and the 20th century tour would not be complete without seeing a "Prefab house" that were used after the Second World War.

If you are looking for something totally unique then why don't you go to the Daub and Wattle Potter. This pottery studio is a small working studio where everything is made by hand. Nothing is imported, it's all made by the owners. Most days you can see the owners decorating these different items for sale.

If you want to find some fun in the great outdoors, you should go on out to Lickey Hills. Located outside the city of Bromesgrove this park is one of the oldest parks in the County. It is a popular recreation area for locals and visitors. Here you can enjoy the many amenities such as a gift shop and cafes. You can also enjoy the eighteen hole golf course with its awesome panoramic views of the country side. There are also many tennis and bowling areas as well as a fun children's play area for the kids. You can also enjoy a large variety of nature trails and can even organize a guided tour through the Ranger Station.
