Bristol, the ceremonial county and city, is located in the south west region of England. The Bristol area is believed to have been settled some 60,000 years ago during the Paleolithic ears. Another venue for those looking to enjoy the beauty of the area is the Bristol Cathedral. This church is believed to have been around long before it because truly noticed. It didn't become a stand out until 1140 when a Robert Fitzhardinge founded the nearby Abby of St. Augustine. Since then the beautiful structure has been a prominent part of Bristol's heritage. The building is opened daily to visitors and there are even guided tours on Saturdays or as arranged through the clerk.

If looking at antique buildings doesn't get your blood pumping then there are still things to do. There are many different activities to get the blood pumping through your system.
