While it is home to the Southport Flower Show it also has places for children to play, lawn areas for ball games and picnics and even has a miniature steam train that runs during the weekends. With several shopping districts to choose from you can find some unique finds all over the town. One of the most popular covered shopping areas is Wayfarer's Arcade. This Stain glass domed roof structure is home to many different boutiques, gift shops and jewelers. You can find many designers, independent retailers, and specialty stores here.
One of the most unique attractions that Southport has to offer visitors is the Lawnmower Museum. Here visitors can learn about and view over three hundred rare exhibits of garden machinery. There are actual mowers, blue prints, and history from all over the world.
