Norwich England was once the second largest city in England. Settled by the Romans in the fifth century, the city was conquered by the Normans in the early 1000's. Today it is a hopping destination with plenty of things for visitors to do.

The City of Norwich Aviation Museum displays military and civil aircraft exhibits. There is even a United States 8th Army Air Force collection. Located close to the Norwich Airport, avionic enthusiasts will enjoy the adventure of Aviation Museum.
There are plenty of architectural sites for visitors to enjoy as well. There is medieval period architecture that can be found in the Norwich Cathedral and the Norwich Castle Museum. There is also Victorian and Edwardian periods that can be seen in many of the nineteenth century houses and commercial buildings such as Norwich Union and the Art Nouveau Royal Arcade. And don't forget the neo-Gothic style that can be seen in the Roman Catholic cathedral that is dedicated to St. John the Baptist.
Norwich is also home to the Canaries, a premier football club. They are also home to Norwich United. Visitors who are interested in the sport should take in one of the thrilling games when they are there. Skiers can enjoy the Norfolk Ski Club which has dry ski and snowboarding slopes located just outside the Norwich city limits.
