Woodbine is a traditional stone built cottage. The building is over 100 years old, and is the longest running guest house in Uig. We have four comfortable en-suite bedrooms with TV, coffee & tea making facilities and WiFi. There is private parking and a garden where you can enjoy the fantastic views over Uig Bay.

We offer Scottish cooking using fresh local ingredients. Enjoy our cooked breakfasts with eggs laid by our own hens - you can't get fresher than that!

Uig is located 15 miles north of Portree on the beautiful Trotternish peninsula, famed for its spectacular geology. The coastline is spectacular, bristling with stacks and pinnacles. Uig is on a stunning and peaceful bay.
We are a very short distance from the Uig Ferry Terminal, from where the Caledonian MacBrayne ferry service to the Outer Hebrides is run on a daily basis. This makes us an ideal stop on the way to Lochmaddy on North Uist or Tarbert on Harris. A ferry trip to the Outer Hebrides can also be taken as a day trip from Uig.

We also offer activity holidays at Woodbine. Discover Skye by boat on our RIB - seal, dolphin and whale watching trips, fishing and dive trips, and waterskiing are available. Investigate the island on foot - there are many stunning walks and treks starting right outside our guest house. Speed around Skye by pedal power on one of our mountain bikes. Many amazing creatures are at home in our waters; porpoises and dolphins are present all year along with seals and many kinds of sea bird. The best period for whale watching is between mid June and the end of September. Look out for Skye's abundant wildlife including Golden Eagles, Corncrakes and Otters.

Woodbine guest house and Skyeactivities are run by Vicki and Andreas Dunkel.
