Dine in the beautifully decorated bar or secluded Dining Room; treat your loved one to a romantic candle lit dinner. Try locally made sausages and fell reared lamb. Treat yourselves to the extensive sweet menu and relax after your meal in the comfortable Lounge and take coffee and mints.

Start your day with a large Cumbrian breakfast before venturing out to Coniston, Bowness-on-Windermere, Hawkshead but to mention a few; while in Coniston visit the Ruskin Museum. Walk to shores of Coniston Water through woodland; try and catch site of the red squirrels and wild deer. Take the passenger ferry to Coniston or Brantwood. Walk the extensive fells and climb the magnificent mountains.

How to find us

Leave the M6 at J36 and follow signs for Barrow in Furness (A590) until you get to the Greenodd estuary. Here you will turn right following for Workington (A5092), then turn for Coniston and Torver (A5084) after approximately 2 miles. You will travel past the tranquil shores of Coniston Water into the heart of the hills and fells coming to the junction of the A593. Wilson Arms is opposite.
