A warm welcome awaits you at Tyddyn Mawr, which nestles at the foot of Cader Idris. This 18th century farmhouse with its lovely oak beams and log fires lies 3 miles from the historic market town of Dolgellau in the Snowdonia National Park.
Lovingly restored to establish superb farmhouse accommodation, all rooms are tastefully decorated with handmade Welsh Oak furniture and luxurious bathrooms, ensuring all guests have a memorable and relaxing stay. This holiday business, established in 1986, continues its high standard of customer care on which Olwen has built her pride and reputation.
The magnificent mountain of Cader Idris allures guests to explore the Penrhyn Gwyn discussed slate mine with its working men's hut, spectacular hidden waterfalls and mountain lakes. For the energetic, climb to the summit of Cader.

Self Catering Cottage
Beudy Uchaf self catering cottage is situated in the picturesque setting of the majestic Cader Idris Mountain.This unique property was originally an old cow shed but has now been extensively renovated to establish superb self catering accommodation with a full fitted modern kitchen, 2 en-suite bedrooms and wealth of character providing a heavenly atmosphere with its beamed ceilings, central wood burner fire and panoramic views.Guests are welcome to explore the Cader Idris Mountain which stands boldly and impressively outside the Beudy Uchaf cottage. This secluded cottage gives you the feeling of peace and tranquility, but you are still within 3 miles of the historic town of Dolgellau.
