A classic Edwardian villa on three floors, it stands in about an acre of mature gardens, featuring a lake stocked with trench, roach, perch, a couple of wily old carp and a flotilla of ducks. There is ample parking for four cars, but first let us welcome you and show you your room.
On the ground floor there is a self-contained bedroom en-suite with its own kitchenette built into a new conservatory over looking the lake.
Our other two guest rooms are fully en-suite with lake views, also the breakfast conservatory has lovely views of lake and ducks.
All rooms are centrally heated with hot drinks facilities and a television.
For health and safety reasons, The Vale is a non-smoking establishment. |
About your host
"We look forward so much to our guests visiting us, its a real tonic and keeps us young. John my husband who is 88 this year spent most of his war years in Burma and Germany. He gives our guests a hard time if they leave anything on their plates as he still remembers rationing!! I grew up in Kenya land of plenty but I remember chocolate rationing, that dates me a bit, nearly gave my age away! I have also lived in other exotic places and enjoy sharing my experiences with our guests. Instead of going abroad now we enjoy hearing about other peoples adventures. A warm welcome awaits you, we will eneavour to make your visit a happy one. Margot and John."
Pricing
The downstairs room en-suite - This room has its own kitchen in the small conservatory. This room can be let either as bed and breakfast or self-catering, the price £50 for either.
Twin en-suite bedroom - This room will take an additional bed as a family of 2 adults and 1 child including breakfast for £55 or with 3 adults including breakfast for £60.
3rd bedroom - This is a slightly smaller room with a double bed en-suite including breakfast £48.
