Facilities  As much a family home as a guest house, The Pines combines Victorian elegance with a warm and friendly atmosphere. The Pines has a formal meeting room that can accommodate up to 8 people. The impressive dining room offers full a la carte Scottish breakfasts with local produce and home baked bread to prepare guests for a day of touring in the Moray area. | Attractions Elgin Cathedral was consecrated in 1224, and the City has been Moray's main centre for over 800 years. Today there is a new leisure centre and many fine shops, whilst nearby are Johnston's Cashmere Visitor Centre, the Motor Museum and Baxter's of Fochabers. The Whisky Trail is on Elgin's doorstep, and makes a great base for the annual Spirit of Spayside Whisky Festival. The delightful sandy beaches of Moray with offshore dolphins and seals are only 6 miles away. There are many championship golf courses, castles, gardens and antique shops nearby.  Elgin is a stones throw from Speyside and the glorious Cairngorm Mountains with their popular ski-ing, hill walking and fishing. Being within a one hour drive of such diverse and popular locations such as Loch Ness, Aviemore and Nairn, Elgin has much to offer visitors. |
