The Manor House is a beautifully restored house in a semi-rural setting at the edge of the village, bordering the North Norfolk Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Trunch hosts a good pub, a lovely church, a shop and a Post Office.

The accommodation is ideally situated for visiting the heritage houses at Blickling, Felbrigg, the wealth of hidden medieval churches, the beautiful Norfolk beaches and the Broads.

The splendid city of Norwich with its cathedral, museums, art galleries, shops, theatres and market is easily accessible by road or by rail.

With it's broad and sage sandy beaches, the charming seaside resort of Mundesley also offers a good range of little shops, restaurants and art galleries - just two miles from Trunch. For those who enjoy walks, miles of footpaths extend along the cliffs on the Norfolk Coastal Path or inland along the Paston Way and the Weavers' Way.
The fine seaside towns of Cromer, famous for its fresh crabs, and Sheringham are close by, as well as the market towns of Aylsham, North Walsham and Holt. At Wroxham and other places in the Broads you can hire a boat. Mundesley, like Cromer and Sheringham, has a fine golf course.
Public transport from Trunch to North Walsham, Mundesley and Norwich (train or bus) or Cromer (bus) runs at hourly intervals.

How to find us:

By Rail

Most mainline services to Norwich link up to the Anglia Railways service to Sheringham (The Bittern Line). Midway along the route are the stations North Walsham and Gunton, both of which are ideal for reaching Trunch. By prior arrangement we can collect you from either station.

By Air

Norwich has an airport only 15 miles from Trunch. It has limited national connections, but has a shuttle service to Amsterdam for links globally through KLM. A budget solution is to fly to Stansted and proceed by train via Cambridge/Ely and Norwich.

Directions by Road

Leave Norwich on the B1150 to North Walsham. At North Walsham, turn left at the first set of traffic lights to follow signs to Mundesley B1145 . At the end of the village of Swafield do not take the right dog-leg to Mundesley, but go straight ahead to Trunch. In Trunch, pass the Church and turn left at the Social Club into Brewery Road. Just after the fish pond on the left hand side, turn right into a drive between the old farm barns, now converted into dwellings.

You will see the Manor House at the end in front of you.

By Car from Europe

The best and shortest way is by ferry from Hoek van Holland to Harwich by StenaLine. It is then a drive of about two hours to reach Trunch. Driving from Calais is also largely on fast roads
