The Grange

The Grange is situated in picturesque West Burton, some say the most beautiful village in England, and has spectacular views of the Yorkshire Dales and the waterfalls of the River Walden. Resting snugly at the junction of Wensleydale, Bishopdale and Walden, the village of West Burton surrounds an expansive village green containing an ancient market cross The village has a shop, pub and post office and is located well away from main traffic routes, offering a truly traditional and tranquil base for a holiday in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales countryside.

Guests of the Grange and Stable Cottage have the use of the large landscaped gardens with ponds and waterfall plus a river frontage with private fishing and BBQ picnic tables etc. Open all year round, The Grange offers en-suite bedrooms each individually furnished to the highest standard, with colour television, tea and coffee making facilities. A full English breakfast is included in the price. Dinner is optional. The menu changes daily and we are happy to cater for individual diets given prior notice. After dinner guests may enjoy coffee by the open fire in the drawing room. Or take a stroll around the delightful gardens. No smoking in the bedrooms is appreciated. There is ample private parking. Bed and Breakfast is from £35.00 per person 4-course dinner is from £20.00 per person

Self Catering Cosy self-catering accommodation can be found at Stable Cottage, situated within the grounds of The Grange. Recently renovated to a high standard, it is an ideal base for a touring, walking or just relaxing in the beautiful countryside of the Yorkshire Dales. Facilities include full oil central heating, a well-equipped kitchen, a large pitched beamed living room with wood burning stove, and a traditional stone-flagged floor (with rugs). Stable Cottage has one double bedroom with stable door leading onto the courtyard and one twin bedded bedroom, which overlooks the courtyard. The bathroom has a bath and shower, toilet, washbasin and shaving socket. There is a colour TV video and stereo system. Private parking. A BBQ and picnic tables are provided and stabling for three horses within a 5 acre secure paddock is also available. Pets and children are welcome and guests may take dinner at The Grange. Weekly Tariff: £190.00 - £420.00 Includes all bed linen, towels, electricity and heating. A booking fee of £60.00 per week is required, the balance due on arrival. All bookings are from Saturday 2pm to Saturday 10am except for short breaks in the off season.
