| Tarka's Rest is sitauted at the end of a quiet lane just 150 yards from the beaches and coastal paths of Trevone Bay. The property is modern and stands in its own 1/2 acre garden and is surrounded on 3 sides by open fields. Away from the main road ensures a quiet position with ample off road parking. For a small village Trevone is well served with its own pub, post office/newsagents/general store, beach store (wet suits and surf boards for hire), and 2 coffee shops where you can enjoy a light snack. Padstow is only a few minutes by car.  Trevone's Sandy beach and coastal path Trevone is set in a designated area of outstanding natural beauty. It has two beaches, one rocky with a natural swimming pool filled twice daily with the tides, the other a clean and safe sandy beach patrolled by lifeguards in the summer months. The North Cornwall Coastal Path is on our doorstep making it an ideal base for a walking holiday. |
| The quaint historical village of Padstow is just 2.5 miles away. There is always plenty to do and see. Walk around the harbour watching the many activities of a busy working port, arrange a boat trip, hire a bike and cycle along the Camel Trail, visit the many shops or sample the local food in the many restaurants, cafes and bars. Your hosts Hilary and Peter are ready to offer you a warm welcome, the bedrooms are tastefully decorated and furnished to a very high standard. We have been awarded the English Tourism Council 4 diamond rating for guest accommodation. |
| We let 3 double bedrooms. 2 of these are situated on the ground floor with patio doors leading out into the garden. The third room is a suite with en-suite double bedroom plus a separate room next door in which to relax, make a drink and watch TV. Breakfast is served in the garden room where you can enjoy the morning sun. We provide a full English breakfast, but if this is too much for you there is always a variety of cereals and fresh fruit dishes. New for this year we are offering a 3 course evening meal on 2 nights a week (Mondays and Thursdays) not July and August. |
| Directions From Wadebridge take the A389 to Padstow. Turn left onto the B3276 Newquay road then right for Trevone. Sandy Lane is the second turning on the left after the beach car park. Tarka's rest is the last house in the lane May we point out to our guests that we operate a non-smoking policy in the house. With regret our accommodation is unsuitable for children. |
