| The magic of St Mary’s is in its unique combination of buildings which still retain their old world charm, situated in a picturesque part of a private 150 acre complex within 2 minutes of the M4. The house is incorporated into the original 16th century stonehouse with beamed ceilings and a sophisticated extension. The clubhouse was originally a 17th century stone coach house. Our facilities include a 24 bedroom luxury hotel with all modern furnishings and fittings. There are two dining areas, the conservatory which overlooks the golf course and countryside and also Rafters restaurant - its name originating from the oak rafters that can be seen throughout the restaurant. There are three bars, a spike bar, Rafters bar and lounge bar. In addition, we have a conference centre, an 18 and 12 hole golf course, professional golf shop, a 15-bay floodlit driving range and tennis courts. |
| Restaurants Good food is an essential prerequisite for a relaxing and enjoyable visit or holiday. St. Mary's offer a wide variety of the highest standard of cuisine in Wales. Enjoy breakfast either in your room or in Rafters Restaurant where you can take pleasure choosing from the cold buffet and order a freshly cooked Welsh breakfast. For a true dining experience Rafters Restaurant offers a first class, extensive a la carte menu with a choice of British and international cuisine cooked from the freshest ingredients and served by our friendly and experienced restaurant staff.  We also serve a three-course table d'hote menu every night and watch out for our special offers which are available from time to time. Rafter's is situated on the first floor of the clubhouse and its name originates from the oak rafters that run throughout the restaurant. Rafter's is the perfect venue of all occasions from an intimate meal for two, to a business dinner for seventy. Rafter's is open seven nights a week with a traditional three-course lunch served every Sunday.The lounge bar with its rustic beams, stone walls and antique bric-a-brac blend perfectly together to create an intimate and relaxing atmosphere. A fine selection of beers, wines and spirits are served from the mahogany and stone bar. For those who are hungry, and excellent selection of bar meals are available from the blackboards (Special Offer two meals for the price of one). The lounge bar with its rustic beams, stone walls and antiquebric-a-brac blend perfectly together to create an intimate and relaxing atmosphere. A fine selection of beers, wines and spirits are served from the mahogany and stone bar. For those who are hungry, and excellent selection of bar meals are available from the blackboards. The Conservatory forms part of the clubhouse building and has wonderful views overlooking St Mary's Golf Course and the surrounding countryside, which is often bathed in the warm glow of the evening sunset. It lends itself perfectly for functions such as weddings, golf societies, corporate hospitality or conferences for up to 120 guests. Here at St. Mary's our philosophy is to provide good value family eating to suit every taste and pocket. Food is freshly prepared to order from the best quality ingredients. | St Mary's 18 Hole Championship Course Without doubt the 18 hole golf course at StMary's is maturing into one of the most picturesque and well conditioned golf courses in the Vale of Glamorgan. The yardage of 5291 flatters to deceive the golfer. The course demands more than just length, it requires a little bit of imagination to manoeuvre your round around, or indeed over,the mature oaks and the sultry designed bunkers and banks, not to mention the odd water hazard here and there, makes it a real test of golf. We believe that our course is a fair challenge for any level of golf and more importantly a very enjoyable challenge that makes you come back again and again. |
