Jenny and Ivor Mason invite you to visit their lovely Victorian House, located conveniently on the High Street of one of the prettiest villages in Worcestershire. Ideally placed for Towns and Motorways, yet still a quiet retreat for business travelers, families and guests visiting the many places of interest in the area. The Steps is no ordinary Guest House. It is a family house that has been carefully improved to give a high degree of comfort in a relaxed and homely atmosphere. |
| About Us A blend of tastefully modern and antique furniture in the light and airy sitting room make pleasant surroundings to enjoy the colour TV or a quiet read by the log fire for those cosy winter evenings. Recently refurbished, the Blue and Pink bedrooms, offering twin or double beds, together with their individual en-suite bathrooms, have retained their exquisite charm. A third bedroom, offers either single accommodation, or can be used as a connecting room transforming the Pink bedroom into a suite, ideal for families. Full English or Continental Breakfast with real coffee, home made marmalade and a choice of teas is served overlooking the delightful walled garden where the family pets will keep you entertained. |
| Accommodation The Blue Room is tastefully appointed and has recently been completely refurbished and having the benefit of colour TV, Tea and Coffee making facilities, and en-suite shower room. The Pink Room has twin beds which can be linked together, colour TV, Tea and Coffee making facilities, and a new en-suite shower room. The Cream Room can be either be booked as a single room with separate bathroom, or combined with the interlinking Pink Room as a family suite, again Tea and Coffee making facilities are included. (All rooms are non-smoking). Breakfast Menu Fruit juice, fresh fruit, full English; eggs - fried, scrambled, boiled or poached. Continental Breakfast; toast with homemade marmalade and jams, Italian coffee, selection of teas. |
| Feckenham Feckenham nestles on the ancient site of King John's hunting ground, and a walk around the village with it's rich variety of architecture is a must. All interests are encompassed, from the traditional sight of cricket played in a lovely setting overlooked by the picturesque Norman Church, to the wildlife viewed from the hide on the Wylde Moor, and perhaps a shopping spree around Barretts who are famous for their huge selection of outdoor clothing, saddlery and camping equipment. Often you will be lucky and find yourself caught up in one of the regular village events, centred around the village hall or green, such as the flower show, the village "wake", large screen cinema shows in the village hall, the Pantomime or the annual horse show held at a local farm. If, after all this, you are in need of some refreshment our two friendly village pubs offer good beer and food at very reasonable prices.
