We are pleased to announce that we have achieved the high standard required to be awarded both the good hygiene certificate and the heartbeat award for our varied choice of menus.

You will find we can cater for all your needs, with a varied breakfast menu, from kippers to continental, not forgetting the good old English. Our evening dinners offer at least 3 choices, for both starters and main courses, with a selection of fine wines being available.

We have recently introduced a childrens menu, and have found it very popular. To help our smaller guests we can supply childrens cutlery and high chairs.

If you have a special diet this can be arranged and you will also find our menus contain a 'healthy option'.

Our licensed bar lounge is open every day up to 11pm and has one of the best panoramic views in Lowestoft.

Somerton House

Somerton House is a distinguished Victorian Grade II listed building, designed by Sir Morton Peto situated in a conservation area. The house has managed to retain many of its original features over its long history. In keeping with this, our rooms are decorated and furnished with a strong Victorian empathy.

Somerton is on the A12 overlooking the south beach which is a fine tide washed, sandy safe beach that has achieved many prestigious awards.

Rooms are available from 12 noon on the day of arrival and will be held until 6pm that day, unless we are informed of a later arrival time. Rooms should be vacated by 10.30 on the day of departure.

Bookings should be confirmed in writing, together with the appropriate deposit within seven days. Confirmed bookings made for a date within seven days will be accepted with a credit card deposit.

Cancellations
