Sedgeford House is a large modern architect designed house in a quiet location but within easy walking distance of Whitchurch town centre. A family run Bed and Breakfast, we extend a warm welcome to you whether you are staying in Whitchurch for business or pleasure.

There is an excellent range of restaurants and pubs to suit all tastes in Whitchurch. You can easily walk down to the town from Sedgeford House or you may drive the short distance and park close to the shops and supermarkets in the centre of this historic market town.

Whitchurch is an excellent base for visiting other towns and cities. It is only 15-20 miles distance to Shrewsbury, Telford, Chester, Crewe and Nantwich.

Situated on the Welsh border Wrexham and Llangollen are in easy reach making it an ideal base for touring.

Accommodation

Bedrooms are spacious, warm and very comfortable. They are finished to a high standard and tastefully decorated. Each room has colour television, complimentary toiletries, tea and coffee tray, radio alarm clock and hairdryer. All bathrooms are fully tiled with bath and shower.

We can cater for special dietary requirements if notified in advance just ask when you make your booking.

Things to See and Do

Sedgeford House is an ideal base for Touring Shropshire, Cheshire and North Wales whether you are motoring, cycling or walking.

Medieval, Tudor and Georgian building abound throughout the town. St Alkmunds Church is a magnificent building which dominates the Whitchurch skyline and is one of the largest 18th century churches in the country.

For those interested in other leisure pursuits North Shropshire Parachute Centre and the Shropshire Rally School are close by.

For race goers there are race meetings at Bangor-On-Dee, Ludlow and Chester.

Walkers will come to Whitchurch on route for the Sandstone trail, Offa's Dyke, Maelor Way and the Mercian Way.

There are Castles, Historic Houses and churches nearby. Attractions include Hawkstone Park and Follies, Erddig House, Stokesay Castle, Cholmondeley Castle Gardens, Wollerton Old Hall Gardens, Stapeley Water Gardens and the Dorothy Clive Garden.

For golfers there are two 18 hole championship courses at MacDonald's Hill Valley. We are able to book tees for our guests at special discount prices for you to enjoy a round or two on the par 73 Emerald course during your stay.
