Seacrest has been a family-run Guest House for 6 years. We want people to enjoy their stay here with us, and we'll do everything possible to ensure that. We pride ourselves on our warm welcome and friendly, relaxed atmosphere.   We are situated adjacent to the beautiful North & South Marine Parks, and within easy walking distance of the harbour and seafront, with two lovely sandy beaches and a stone built pier. We have lovely views of the beautiful leafy parks and sea front. Between the beaches there is the Ocean Beach Funfair. (A little further afield is another beach, Marsden beach with it's distinctive and famous 'Marsden Rock' and unique 'Grotto' pub and restaurant.) We're just five minutes walk from the main shopping centre, Market Square, Catherine Cookson Museum, and the Roman Fort & Museum, Arbeia. Sea Crest is in a perfect position for easy reach of all the amenities and attractions that South Shields has to offer. |
| Out and about South Shields is on the north east coast of Britain at the mouth of the River Tyne, on the south bank. It boasts a scenic harbour; a couple of gorgeous beaches, Littlehaven to the north and Sandhaven to the south; two beautiful parks; a funfair and amusement arcades; a genuine Roman Fort with reconstructed gateway; a museum dedicated to authoress Catherine Cookson; restaurants and cafés ; shops; and a charming old market square. Why not take a cruise on the River Tyne? Or have a trip into Newcastle just 7 miles away? It's easy to get to the city centre (known locally as The Toon), by Metro! |
