Welcome to a world of seahorse and sunsets where the full force of nature enveloped the senses.
Welcome to a world of forests and fossils, history, quaint tea shops, legends and love.
Lyme Regis is an area of outstanding natural beauty. There are countless secluded haunts and walks far away from crowds, madding or otherwise! And views from the cliff tops along Dorset's coastal path are simply breathtaking. |
Famous for the Cobb, an ancient harbour, Lyme Regis itself has many faces. The bay is world renowned as a source of fossils. The town is steeped in history and has literary connections with Thomas Hardy. It also provided the setting for the film "The French Lieutenant's Woman".
Relax, wander around book stores, shops and galleries, dine at one of the many restaurants, visit country pubs, or do some serious walking.
Whatever you choose to do, Lyme Regis offers an English holiday at its best.
Sea Tree House is right in the heart of Lyme Regis with steps leading off Broad Street to the entrance. The three storey Georgian house dates back over 200 years and was lovingly restored by the owner, David Parker. |

| Arranged on each floor, the self-catering accommodation is in completely private, one-bedroomed apartments with individual kitchens and bathrooms. Within the calm and gentle atmosphere of Sea Tree House, all are uniquely different but they share the same standard of furnishings and elegant décor. |

| The apartments have magnificent, bright, sitting-rooms with panoramic views over the sea! The dining area in each window faces west, perfect for a romantic meal, lit first by the setting sun and then by candles. The view overlooking the Cobb is considered one of the best in Lyme Regis. |

| Lyme Regis has a cinema and a theatre, and locally there is a wealth of outdoor activities including fishing, golf, water sports and horse riding. Or you could just sit on the beach! |

| For those who like historic houses, Forde Abbey, Athelhampton and Montacute are easy to get to. Thomas Hardy's former home is at Higher Bockhampton. Dorchester is approximately 25 miles east of Lyme and has a weekly market. Other places of interest include Abbotsbury (village and swannery), Tolpuddle Martyrs Museum, Weymouth and Portland Bill, antique, craft, and lace shops in Honiton. |
