 | Rowley Hill Lodge was built originally in 1830, as the lodge to the nearby farmhouse. Over the last 10 years, it has been much modernised and enlarged while still retaining its considerable character. |

 HOW TO GET THEREFrom the North
Exit 10 off the M11 (A505 left, eastwards). First roundabout, right, B1301 to Saffron Walden (B184) over a series of roundabouts. From the South
Exit 9 off M11. Several roundabouts, follow signs to Saffron Walden (B184).
Approach Saffron Walden (approx. 5 miles) down long hill. At bottom is "Eight Bells" pub on left. 50 metres beyond pub, turn left, Castle Street. At end (400 metres), left, Little Walden Road.
1 1/4 miles to Rowley Hill Lodge - a solitary house, painted cream, with white fence and three tall chimneys - on the left.Look for reflective markers. |
