The house enjoys open views of the crag and moors and yet the village is just a 5 minute drive to the bustling market town of Skipton. Local inns are close by and serve a range of good quality food and real ales.   |
| Amenities The village of Embsay lies on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. It is the home of the Embsay and Bolton Abbey Steam Railway. The house enjoys fine views of Embsay Crag and surrounding countryside. Many pleasant walks are on the doorstep.    Facilities of the house include :- Centrally heated rooms All rooms en suite Tea and coffee tray in rooms Family rooms available Ground floor room Easy and convenient parking Full English breakfast cooked to order Vegetarian food and continental breakfast available Guests are able to come and go at their leisure. | Find Us Skipton is in the county of North Yorkshire. It is under 1 hour from the A1, M1 and M6 and lies on a junction of the A59, A650 and A65. Trains run regularly from Leeds to Skipton. Leeds-Bradford international airport is 40 minutes away. Embsay is 1.5 miles from Skipton. Bear right at the top of the High Street in Skipton following the Harrogate signs.After 400 metres turn left at the sign for Embsay. Go up through the village. At the top the road bears right past the Elm Tree Inn. Rockwood House is 50 metres past on the right. Park in the free car park opposite. Embsay can also be approached from the A59 Skipton bypass. Turn off the bypass at the Embsay sign and after 500m turn right to Embsay. Go up through the village. At the top the road bears right past the Elm Tree Inn.
