| River View is a converted stone barn in a pleasant riverside location overlooking the weir, in the old historic Westmorland village of Brough. (4 miles from Kirkby Stephen). Being close to the A66 midway between Scotch Corner (A1) and Penrith (M6) in the Upper Eden Valley makes us an ideal North/South stop over. We are also a convenient base for walking and exploring the Lake District, Yorkshire Dales, Teesdale and Northern Pennines. Within the village we have two pubs both serving lunches and evening meals daily and within easy walking distance we have a local fish & chip shop which is open Tuesday & Friday evenings and lunchtime and evening on Saturday. There is a Post Office, a Village store and a Tea Shop which serves snacks etc. We have some interesting sites to visit like Brough Castle (opposite) which is located in the village of Church Brough (1/2 mile walking distance). |

| Our spacious Twin room has room for an extra guest bed. We have two en-suite guest rooms with Velux roof windows and original beams. Both rooms are beautifully decorated, very comfortable and are well equipped with colour TV, clock radios, hairdryers, refreshment trays plus little extras to enhance your stay. Main entrance at rear of property through conservatory on patio which in summer is adorned with pots and containers full of flowers. The conservatory below can be used by guests who want somewhere to relax. |
