AA 5 Stars for Guest Accommodation in Main House

Pilstyes is a Grade II listed village house believed to have been built around 1575. It is arranged as a main house with an attached cottage. (The cottage is let as a holiday home and we let one double bedded room with an ensuite shower room on a bed and breakfast basis in the main house.)

The Pilstyes Cottage annexe with its romantic Elizabethan 4-Poster Bedroom is let on a self catering basis. It is suitable for up to four people, having two bedrooms, one with 4-Poster double bed and one with two single beds. It is generally considered that the cottage is unsuitable for toddlers but a babe-in-arms or older children will find it most comfortable.

In the main house we have a double bedded room with en-suite shower room. The AA have recently given us 5 Stars for our good service and the quality of guest accommodation we offer. Breakfast is taken in our sunny kitchen.

OUR ACCOMMODATION IS A NON-SMOKING HOUSE and WE DO NOT ACCEPT PETS

Although Roy and Carol Pontifex live on site in the main part of The Pilstyes, the cottage has its own private entrance gate from the High Street (to the left of the house) and access is gained to the ground floor through the front door into the living room. There is a small kitchen (back door leads out to the terraced sitting area private to the cottage) and two bedrooms and one bathroom are on first and second floor levels. Parking is available in a public car park to the rear of the Tiger just two minutes away from the house.

Location

Gatwick Airport - 25 mins drive.(15 miles)
London City Centre - 45 mins by train from Haywards Heath. There is a bus from Lindfield to Haywards Heath, so it is not necessary to have a car here.
Brighton and the South coast - 30 mins drive.
Glyndebourne - 30 mins.

The Pilstyes is situated on the right hand side of the High Street in Lindfield going north past the Bent Arms, it is the third house after the Brushes Lane turning and before you reach the Church.

From Haywards Heath take the B2028 to Lindfield passing the pond on your left continue up the High Street as above.

From Gatwick Airport travel south on the B2028, Turners Hill, Ardingly to Lindfield. After passing the church on your left The Pilstyes is about 500 yards further along on the left before Brushes Lane and the Bent Arms.
