With seating for fifty The Pembroke Arms Restaurant offers a contemporary menu with old-fashioned service standards. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and with light meals available throughout the day, we believe that this makes us an ideal venue whether it be a romantic dinner for two, that special group celebration or even a breakfast meeting with ample room for paper work and food. We are only too happy to cater for any specific needs you may have.
Our new Head Chef, Jerome Bertrand has created mouthwatering dishes incorperating classic British fayre with a "twist".

| Barford St. Martin makes an ideal base to tour the legendary area of King Alfred's Wessex from. Within easy driving distance are innumerable attractions of which a small number are shown below with a small summary.Wessex is a beautiful area that is made up from several counties and used to be a kingdom. The New Forest is within a 20-minute drive and is a beautiful National Park and is a designated area of outstanding natural beauty as is most of Wiltshire and the surrounding area. Barford St. Martin is about six miles from Salisbury. Salisbury has a main line railway station that takes 1.5 hours to get to London and to drive it takes about 2-2.5 hours. Cornwall is about 2-2.5 hours further on down so, Barford makes an ideal base. |
How to Find Us

The Pembroke Arms Hotel is situated 2 miles north of Salisbury in the ancient capital of Wessex- Wilton at the junction of the A36 and the A30.
By road Leave Salisbury following the signs to the west for Bath on the A36.After about 2 miles turn left at the roundabout taking the A30 towardsShaftsbury. the hotel is situated on the right hand side about 200 yards from the roundabout.
By rail There are frequent trains from London (Waterloo), Southampton, Exeter and Bath/Bristol. Trains from London run every 30 minutes at peak times and usually hourly at other times. For evening, weekend and Bank Holiday travel you should check prices with South West Trains. The typical cost is about £25 for an adult.However there are many special deals for groups, families and off-peak travel. You should check prices with South West Trains.
By Air Our nearest airports are London's Heathrow (1.5 hours drive), Gatwick (2 hours drive) and a smaller regional airport in Southampton and Bristol (both about 1 hour). From these you may either hire a car, take a taxi or connect with the rail network.
From Heathrow it is about 80 miles via the M3 and A303. An appropriately arranged mini-cab will cost £80 upwards. London black cabs may be considerably more expensive for such a trip. A popular option is to use the Rail-Air Coach Link to Woking Station (approx. £10) and then join the train from Waterloo to Salisbury.
From Gatwick it is about 110 miles via the M25, M3 and A303. An appropriately arranged mini-cab will cost £100 upwards. London black cabs may be considerably more expensive for such a trip. A popular option is to use the Gatwick Express train (£20) to London's Victoria Station,then use the underground or black cab to Waterloo where you can join the train to Salisbury.
