Ferrycroft Visitor Centre - Where you can explore the many changes to Sutherland's Landscapes from Ice age to present day, the future too! Forest walk through Ferry Wood or an archaeological trail over the Ord Hill. Shin Falls - Where you can see the salmon leap, take a walk through the Shin Forest or relax in the restaurant and shop complex. Lairg Gala Week - Holds events for everyone throughout the 3rd week of July.

Fishing - Wild Brown Trout Loch Fishing (from boats). Salmon and Sea-trout (on river and Loch). Tuition available prior to arrangements.

GAME SHOOTING: Walked up over Pointers shooting for Flying & Ground game.
DEER STALKING: for Red Roe and Sika Deer available by prior notice.

Golfing - There are 18 hole courses at Dornoch (Championship), Golspie, Brora and Tain, also a 9-hole course at Bonar Bridge. All within easy driving distance from Lairg (40 minutes maximum).
HILLWALKING: -Lairg is well situated offering easy access to the "Munro's & Corbett's of the North & West of Sutherland.
FOREST WALKS & WOODLAND TRAILS: - There are many walks and cycle trails and mountain biking within easy reach from Lairg.
