| Welcome to delicious contemporary cuisine At Old Pines we pride ourselves in serving only fresh homemade food using local and organic produce wherever possible - trout and salmon, shellfish from Mallaig, Scottish beef and local venison. Dinner is a 4 course affair starting with delicate homemade canapés and culminating with organic chocolate truffles. Our menu changes daily and has seasonal influences. Our restaurant has been awarded an AA rosette and gold dining Plate from Hotel Review Scotland. |

| Welcome to cosy, restful accommodation Old Pines is a small hotel with just 8 bedrooms - including kingsize double, twins and family rooms. All bedrooms have luxurious en-suite shower rooms, colour TV/DVD, tea/coffee making facilites, room service and laundry service. We have a cosy lounge with real log fire and dramatic views of the Nevis range, a library or books and DVD's for those inevitable wet Scottish afternoons and our staff are always on hand to serve you with fresh tea or coffee and homemade baked cakes and scones. We welcome children at Old Pines and have large grounds for them to explore. Older children are welcome in the restaurant and we serve children's tea for younger children in the restaurant at around 6pm. |

| Local attractions Old Pines is located just north of the village of Spean Bridge in the heart of the Scottish Highlands. We are close to the following attractions: Ben Nevis and the Nevis Range. For walking, skiing, mountain biking - 5 miles. Caledonian Canal - 2 miles from Gairlochy lock. Great Glen Way - 2 miles from Gairlochy stop-over - we will collect walkers. Loch Ness - 20 miles from the southern tip of Loch Ness and boat trips. Fort William - 10 miles for shops, bowling, cinema, cafes, swimming pool and other local amenities. Also home to the Jacobite Steam Railway or "Harry Potter" train. Glen Coe - 30 miles to spectacular scenery and historic battle ground. Glenfinnan - 20 miles to dramatic Harry Potter film location. Mallaig - 30 miles to ferries to Skye and the small isles. Kyle of Lochalsh - 70 miles to the Skye Bridge. Airports: Inverness 1.5 hours, Glasgow 3 hors, Edinburgh 3 hours. Spean Bridge station - the village station is on the scenic West Highland route and can be reached direct from London Euston by sleeper train. We are located 400 yards from the A82 - the main west coast road. |

| Details and directions From the south: Follow the A82 north from Glasgow through Crianlarich and Fort William. At the village of Spean Bridge, follow the road to the left and up the hill out of the village. At the top of the hill turn left by the Commando Memorial. Old Pines is 400 yards on the right hand side. From the north: Follow the A82 south through Fort Augustus and Invergarry, 2 miles north of Spean Bridge turn right at the Commando Memorial. Old Pines is 400 yards on the right hand side. From the east: Follow the A86 west from the A9 junction at Dalwhinnie. Pass through Laggan and Roy Bridge. At the junction in Spean Bridge turn right. Follow the road up the hill and out of the village. At the top of the hill turn left at the Commando Memorial. Old Pines is 400 yards on the right hand side. |
