The Oakwell Motel and Free House has a hidden dimension, which makes a stay there all the more enjoyable. Situated in the historic village of Birstall, which is mentioned in the Doomsday Book, the motel is just a quarter of a mile away from Oakwell Hall and its extensive country park. The motel is easy to find -just a few minutes from the main road to Leeds - Hudderfield (A62)
There is ample car parking space to the side and rear. It has proved a big hit with business men and contractors, being within easy reach of Leeds and both the M62 (junction 27) and the M1.
The locals find it an ideal venue for a sporting evening and round off a 'games night' with a decent drink and a spot of friendly banter with the staff.

Staff at the motel will be happy to give information about local places of interest and point you in the right direction. Birstall is a growing area, home of one of the first multiplex cinemas in the region but it continues to retain village atmosphere. |
