Norwood was built circa 1887 by a local entrepreneur named Mr Hacking famous for the Love lace brand of soap including the famous Lovelace floating soap. Over the years many important people have owned the grand house namely Mr Geddie private residence (1921) who was the countries leading eye surgeon at that time and The Broughton family local reputed bathroom company. We purchased Norwood Guest House in 2001 and set about refurbishing it, including the addition of en-suite bathrooms to all the bedrooms. We added a large conservatory in 2002 and extended the buildings in June 2004 and 2005. We have also refurbished all the bedrooms with new furnishings, décor, carpets and flat screen TV’s with DVD players this year. The house has wonderful character of bygone times, you will not be disappointed. We aim to give the best service at a reasonable price, and several years down the road after opening, our advice would be to book early to avoid being disappointed. All our rooms are furnished and decorated to a high standard and all have en-suite facilities. All bedrooms are bright and airy. The whole Guest House has a welcoming ambience that is enhanced by our professional caring attention to detail. |

We provide free Internet wireless broadband throughout, Flat Screen Colour TV's with Freeview, hospitality trays,with great selection, DAB Clock Radio's. Hairdryer, ironing facilities, and baby cots are available on request. All to make our home yours for the duration of your stay. Weekend special - Extend your weekend, book any Friday/Saturday evenings or Saturday/Sunday evenings for only £120.00 including breakfast. £50.00 Guaranteed Double room (for single occupancy) with breakfast. £40.00 Single Room Only, No breakfast. £45.00 Single Room with breakfast. £69.00 Double Room with Breakfast or £60 Room Only Basis Family room starting from £75 with one child, £80 with two Children up to 12 years £69.00 Twin Room with breakfast or £60 Room Only Basis all rooms are en-suite seasonal offers available all year round call for latest deals. Students - Are you attending Blackburn or Accrington College? If so ring for special rates of 10% reduction on normal tariff. Breakfast served weekdays between 7.30am and 8.45am weekends between 8am and 9am. NB, We do not always provide a cooked breakfast on Sunday morning, alternative light breakfast will be available and includes Fruits Cerials, toast , Tea/Coffee, Coissants, Fresh Fruit Bowl, Cheeses, scrambeled egg /smoked salmon muffins.
