Bed and Big Breakfast
When we say big, we're not just talking about quantity. More to the point we're referring to our quality.
We use the very best local produce, including eggs and bacon from local farms and even the tea and coffee come from the Porlock village merchant.
You may choose to watch breakfast telly, then stroll down from your cosy beamed en-suite room to indulge in a generous full English Breakfast. Which includes fresh fruit juice and cereals or maybe kippers and scrambled egg?
Whatever, enjoy a hearty breakfast, because frankly, you're going to need it!
Walking, cycling, riding, fishing, shooting, sailing, swimming, surfing. They're all on our doorstep.

Myrtle Cottage is a thatched early 16th century dwelling situated a stroll from the sea, at the foot of Exmoor. The beauty of the landscape defies description.
We are open all year round (with a blazing log fire to keep you as warm as toast). Well behaved dogs are welcome.

Myrtle Cottage is a 16th century fully modernised thatched cottage.
It is not suitable for blind or seriously disabled people.
Parking at the front: Two steps down to the front door. Two steps down to the hallway - Dining room to the right.
Parking at the rear: Four steps up from back door to hallway.
Bedroom 1. Five steps up to the first landing. Low archway. Low entrance to bedroom. En-suite with bath, shower, wc and bidet. Double bed.
Bedroom 2. Five steps up to the second landing. Low entrance to bedroom. En-suite shower room and wc. King size bed.
Bedroom 3. On second landing. Double and single bed. En-suite shower room and wc.
Bedroom 5. Off second landing. Eight high, curving steps. Double and single bed and through room which can be used as a lounge or for two further single beds. Rooms separated by a curtain. En-suite shower room and wc.

Coming from Minehead, drop down the hill into the village, proceed down the High Street, past the church on the left until you come to the Post Office on the left.
We are just there, on the right.
