Refurbished in 2003 to the very highest standards, Morpeth Court luxury serviced apartments are a unique conversion of part of the old County Gaol, located within a restored Grade II listed building designed in the early 1800s by John Dobson, the leading North East architect of the time. We offer visitors 21st century facilities within a 19th century landmark building, situated in the heart of the ancient town.
Apartments Each apartment has a balcony bedroom with a comfortable queen-size bed and ample storage space. In each lounge there is also a convertible bed settee.
Lounge areas All lounge areas are decorated to the very highest standards by our qualified designers and are well equipped, with colour televisions and DVD players in each lounge.
Bathrooms The bathrooms are beautifully tiled throughout, and have high quality power showers with dedicated water heaters. For those in the premium apartment, there is also a side-fed double bath for extra relaxation. |

How to Find Us
Driving from the North Following the A1 southwards, leave at at the junction for the A192. Follow the road on the downward slope into Morpeth where you will soon reach the town centre, and the mini-roundabout at the Market Place. Turn left into Bridge Street (the main shopping street) for about 400 metres where you turn right at the next mini-roundabout, and across the bridge. Morpeth Court is approximately 200 metres over the bridge, on the left. Turn into the grounds and drive to the rear of the building for dedicated parking.
Driving from the South Travelling along the A1 northwards, turn off at the junction for the A192 at Clifton. Follow the directions to Morpeth, roughly two miles ahead. Just before the crossing the bridge, you will see the award-winning Carlisle Park on the left, and Morpeth Court on the right. Turn into the grounds and drive to the rear of the building for dedicated parking.
Other Transport Newcastle International Airport is less than 10 miles away. Morpeth Railway Station, which is on the main East Coast line, is a 2 minute walk. There are many local taxi providers in Morpeth, some of whom provide sightseeing tours. Bus services run from Morpeth to Newcastle and many townships in the area. |
