He has carefully installed private bathrooms into seven of the nine letting rooms, three of which provide single accommodation.
Guests can relax in warm and comfortably furnished rooms with self regulating heating, colour television and complimentary tea and coffee which provide the ideal opportunity for a pleasurable stay.With a full security system, all bedroom doors can be securely locked from the inside, so if you are travelling on your own you can relax in confidence at Melrose Villa.
Most of the bedrooms have private bathrooms en-suite. There are 3 double rooms, 1 triple/twin room and 3 single rooms.
The standard rooms (those with a shared bathroom) are: 1 double room and one family room comprising 1 double and 2 single beds.
The private bathroom rate is from £30 per person per night.
The standard rate is from £25 per person per night.
Children 12 years and under sharing a room with 2 adults are half price. All guests have their own keys with access to their room at any time.

At breakfast time you will be offered the traditional start to the day with a full Highland breakfast freshly cooked to order and accompanied by your choice of tea or fresh coffee, plenty of toast, cereals, grapefruit, fresh fruit, yoghurts and fruit juice.
For the less hearty appetites, some lighter choices are always available.

Balnain House is the home of Highland music and only 3 minutes' walk from Melrose Villa. It is an immaculately restored Georgian Mansion, which traces the development of Highland Music through the ages.

There's a lot more to the Highlands than Loch Ness! The Loch is awesome and we'll never tire of going there but what about the majestic splendour of Glen Affric? An ancient, unspoilt Scottish Glen of immortal charm, home of the sparkling river Affric bubbling past towering Scots pines resplendent in the heather hills. The area is fantastic for picnics and hiking, whatever the weather!.
Culloden Moor
Immerse yourself in the chilling atmosphere of Culloden Moor, where Bonnie Prince Charlie's fearless Jacobites flung themselves onto the bayonets and muskets of the Duke of Cumberland's army.
Today, one can walk freely around the site, where flags mark the position of the two armies and simple headstones mark the graves of the different clans.

There are really good day tours and half day excursions. See Scotland and let someone else do the driving or let the train take the strain - the Inverness to Kyle train journey is thought to be one of the most beautiful in Europe.
