Rural but not isolated, we enjoy a peaceful and secluded position in the Severn Vale near to the Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust and adjacent to the Gloucester - Sharpness Canal.

Surrounded by farmland, we are within walking distance of the WWT and the sight and sounds of migrating wildfowl in winter.
The accommodation in our adjoining annexe comprises a very comfortable twin-bedded room with toilet/shower room attached, TV, tea and coffee making facilities and private entrance. It overlooks the neighbouring farm land and has fine views of the Cotswolds.

Full English breakfast is served in the conservatory overlooking the garden and we are open all year.

May Cottage was originally a pair of two storey farm cottages with a washhouse attached dating from the early 1800's. In 1973, the red brick extension was built to convert the partly derelict house into a bungalow, and we have since added a secondary storey to this.

The washhouse subsequently had a toilet and shower room added to make comfortable guest accommodation. There is a colourful cottage garden in front of the house and a small orchard at the back.
Sue is a practising horticulturist and lecturer, and holds courses on designing with plants and on practical gardening at May Cottage.
Places of interest nearby include the Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust, Westonbirt Arboretum, famous for the autumn colours in its acer glades and the woods in spring, Berkeley Castle and the neighbouring Jenner Museum, Badminton Horse Trials, with Bristol, Gloucester and the Cotswold towns and villages easily accessible.
For walkers, the Severn Way runs alongside the canal and the Cotswold Way is 5 miles distant.
