Set within private woodland, the Mansion House is as elegant and grand as it is unpretentious and welcoming. Newly refurbished and extended to include a range of indoor leisure facilities to match any other, this 19th Century baronial mansion situated only a minutes walk from the centre of the ancient city of Elgin, has a character and atmosphere all of its own.
To the west it overlooks the tranquil waters of the River Lossie, while to the South, expansive lawns dotted with mature trees kindle the romance of holidaying in the heart of the countryside.
The welcoming entrance hall with oak-panelled walls complemented by period furnishings, fresh scented flowers and a plethora of antique curiosities leads from its majestic staircase into the most exciting and diversified bedroom accommodation. Here you are likely to find giant sligh beds and a four poster bed (or two) and that is only the beginning of numerous home comforts which are available. |

| The Piano Lounge is a favourite pre-dinner gathering point, decorated in soft and comfortable furnishings which will get you in the right frame of mind before stepping across the front hall into the elegant restaurant where the most creative quality food awaits those who enjoy the simple and delicious things in life. |

The "Wee Bar" serves as a watering point in the centre of the House and just next to the Snooker Room (how convenient!). It also overlooks the river via the patio door which makes it easy to cope with the hot summer days.
The Still Room, so called because of its unique collection of whiskies, is a private area often available to residents when not in use for other purposes.
The Country Club with its warm, inviting pool complemented by a spa, sauna, steam room and sunbed is sure to provide the answer for rainy days. On a more energetic scale there is the gymnasium for those guests with an eye on their figures. Computerised coaches act as a guide throught a multitude of physical disciplines. Then why not pop into the bistro to re-stock those calories.

You might have just enough time to enjoy the outstanding appeal of the area which together with its rich bird and plant life is a haven of natural, historical and scientific wonder.
The sports enthusiast is simply blessed with the most unbelievable choice of ten Golf Courses within ten miles, a bit of fishing on the Spey or the glorious sight of stag, pheasant or grouse out on the moors. There are also several horse riding stables or unlimited water sports in Findhorn Bay.
But the Whisky Trail is perhaps what Moray is better known for and the Mansion House was quick to spot the connection and now provides the ideal base from which to cover such a challenging adventure.
We are confident that our descriptions are as real as our persuasive methods in other words ...........Look forward to meeting you soon!!! |
