Machynlleth is an historic market town with a vibrant history.
In 1404 Owain Glyndwr established a Welsh Parliament and the original Parliament building stands to this day and houses a Brass Rubbing and Owain Glyndwr centre. |

 | The focal point of the town is the clock which was a present by the towns people to Lord Castlereagh on his coming of age. |
A street market dating back over 700 years is held every Wednesday and many bargains can be found.
Situated in the beautiful Dyfi Valley Machynlleth makes a perfect stopping over point and an ideal touring base. |
