Lower Manor Farm is a 19th century farmhouse bed and breakfast situated in the tranquil hamlet of Thornfalcon, near Taunton in Somerset.

Marion and Dave Burt have been offering a very warm welcome since opening in 2000.

Lower Manor Farm has been consistently awarded a four star rating with the AA, offering en-suite and private facilities, traditional hearty breakfasts with fresh farm eggs.

Thornfalcon is a sleepy hamlet, 10 minutes drive from Taunton and J25 of the M5, which affords easy access to the whole of the south west.

Taunton is in the Vale of Taunton Deane, which is sheltered by the beautiful Quantock, Black Down, and Brendon hills.

Robin's Nest

Robin's Nest is a double room with ensuite facilities. It features an original Victorian brass and iron double bed.

An occasional bed is also available, providing ample accommodation for a family of three.

Children aged 15 years and over, are required to book a separate single room.

Robin's Nest is popular for weekend breaks, early reservations are recommended.

The view overlooks the front garden.

The tower of the 14th century church of Thornfalcon can be clearly seen from Robin's nest.

Sleepy Swallow is an attractive, ensuite, double room at the front of the house, comfortably furnished with period mahogany furniture and panoramic views, overlooking the front garden and the Blackdown Hills.

Greenfinch

Greenfinch is a comfortably furnished double room with two single beds and period furniture. It is situated at the rear of the house with views overlooking the garden and our 300 yr old English oak.

Facilities include a large private bathroom with a shower.

Directions

Lower Manor Farm is 5 minutes from J25 of the M5.

Travelling southbound, exit at J25, turn left and proceed for approximately 1.5 miles along the A358. 200 yards after the road becomes a dual carriageway, turn left into Thorn Lane, follow the road and turn left at the next junction, pass the war memorial and Lower Manor Farm is on the right hand side.
