Landing Cottage is surrounded by mature gardens with a patio where residents can enjoy the peace and quiet of the tranquil surroundings. In the morning you can start the day with our highly acclaimed cooked breakfast served in the comfort of the dining room.

All about Lakeside Lakeside is set in the gentle wooded fells of South Lakeland and is an ideal base for visiting all of the southern and western lakes along with the coastal areas of Morecombe Bay. Landing Cottage is situated only 100 metres from lake Windermere, the longest lake in England, being ten and a half miles in length. Lakeside is the starting point for the Windermere Lake Cruise to Bowness and Ambleside. Lakeside station is the end of the line for the Lakeside and Haverthwaite standard gauge steam railway. This pleasure steam train will carry you along the three and a half miles picturesque route through the valley of the River Leven. Maybe you would like to visit Britain's award winning aquarium featuring the UK's largest collection of fresh water fish as well as mischievous otters and diving ducks again located only 100 metres from landing Cottage.
