The Knowewas built at the beginning of the twentieth century and enjoys many original Victorian and Edwardian features. Constructed as a superior family home its ownership passed to the church who used it as a restful retreat for overworked clergy. For nearly twenty years the Knowe has been a Guest House providing similar rest to numerous travellers from all over the world.![]() ![]() We are situated in Rob Roy country beneath the famous Crags, with natural woodland to the rear abounding with wildlife. The front rooms overlook the picturesque town of Callander, Gateway to the Highlands, and enjoy truly magnificent views down the valley to the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park, an area famous for history and beauty. The Knowe contains three en suite rooms incorporating most of the features required of junior suites. We also have one full suite. All our rooms have tea/coffee makers, fridges, colour TVs, with integral DVDs, linked to the full sky package. A home from home! ![]() ![]() We have a generous dining room from which guests can enjoy magnificent views of the National Park with frenchdoors leading to our south facing patio. Packed lunches can be provided on request. Our residents lounge retains all of its original wood panelling and windows from which once again the views are breathtaking. These views extend to the seating provided in our south facing gardens where on a clear day you feel you can reach out and touch Ben Ledi. We have a private car park with a secure indoor area for the storage of bicycles and an area for drying wet clothing. Once parked at the Knowe a two-minute stroll down a pedestrian pathway takes you to the town centre with all its places of interest. Activities in the immediate area include, rambling with many miles of scenic nature trails, cycling, fishing (river and loch), walking, bird watching, canoeing and pony trekking. There is a PGA golf course within 200 meters of the Knowe and a superb leisure complex incorporating a swimming pool with spa bath, steam room and sauna, an indoor bowling area, climbing wall, a fitness suite, a sports hall, squash courts and outdoor tennis courts. Nearby lochs offer a wide variety of watersports including water-skiing and sailing. There is an outdoor bowling club adjacent to the Knowe for which we have a corporate membership.

Kilravock self catering cottage is a spacious mews dwelling with main door access and off street parking. From the lounge the property enjoys truly magnificent views of the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park and in particular Ben Ledi. There is a garden to the rear with secure indoor storage for bicycles and equipment. Kilravock, situated in Rob Roy country, is located in Bridgend, which historically is the oldest part of Callander, only a minute’s walk from the town centre or countryside. ![]() ![]() Activities in the immediate area include rambling with several nature trails starting on Kilravock's doorstep, cycling, fishing (river and loch), walking, bird watching, canoeing and pony trekking. A superb Leisure Centre is located within two hundred meters incorporating a swimming pool with spa bath, steam room and sauna, an indoor bowling hall, climbing wall, a fitness suite, a sports hall, squash courts, out door tennis courts and a PGA golf course within a three minute drive. Nearby lochs also offer a wide variety of watersports including water-skiing and sailing. Closeby is an outdoor bowling club for which we have a corporate membership. Kilravock is the ideal base for exploring Scotland. Within a half-hour drive lies the new National Park Visitor Centre at the southern tip of Loch Lomond which provides a perfect vantagepoint for viewing the “bonnie, bonnie banks. A fifteen-minute drive into the Trossachs will take you to Loch Katrine where the steam ship “SS Sir Walter Scott” still takes passengers for a sail down the loch as she has down since her construction in 1899. A ten- minute drive takes you to the Blair Drummond Safari Park and a memorable day out for all the family. ![]() ![]() There is a rail network nearby with trains running to a variety of locations including Edinburgh, Glasgow and Perth, taking the stress out of visiting Scotland’s major cities. Adnandave self catering cottageis a charming detached cottage situated in the picturesque village of Brig O’ Turk, slap bang in the heart of the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park.![]() ![]() The area is a Mecca for walkers, cyclists, fishermen and lovers of wildlife however there are many other activity sports in the immediate area. The area, made famous by the novelist, Sir Walter Scott, has many places of interest including Loch Katrine where the 104 year old Victorian steam boat bearing his name still cruises daily. Also close at hand is the Queen Elizabeth Forest Park with the David Marshall Visitor Centre where ospreys with their chicks can be observed via the 24-hour camera watch. The town of Callander is nearby and can be reached either by a short car journey or a walk along the banks of Loch Vennacher, which forms part of the national cycle route 7. The town boasts a modern Leisure Complex offering a wide range of activities. There is an outdoor bowling club where our guests at Ardnandave can enjoy unlimited use and there is a PGA golf course nearby. ![]() ![]() The accommodation at Ardnandave is all on the ground floor and comprises TV lounge, sun lounge, fully fitted kitchen with dining area, utility room, cloakroom, three bedrooms (1 double en suite, 1 twin and 1 family). Sleeps 7. A raised terrace with garden furniture overlooks the extensive, secure garden with private access leading down to the river Turk, for which the property enjoys riparian fishing rights. There is also a childrens outdoor play centre. A short stroll will take you to the Byre Inn and restaurant with its beer garden, which offers customers food, and drink seven days of the week.
