Tourist Attractions
Ullswater is a beautiful and dramatic lake.
There are many walks in the Knotts Mill area for both novice and experienced ramblers.
Sail, canoe, or take the Paddle 'Steamer' on Ullswater Lake.
Visit the pleasant market towns of Keswick and Penrith or one of the many visitor attractions found in the area.
David and Sylvia provide a comfortable and relaxing base for you to explore this beautiful, unspoiled area.

Directions
Car
1. Take the M6 to Junction 40 (Penrith)
2. Exit onto the A66 (towards Keswick)
3. Stay on the A66 for approximately 1/2 mile to the first roundabout
4. Take the second left on the roundabout to the A592 (Ullswater).
Note: The first exit off the roundabout is into the services.
5. Around 3 miles later the road branches off to the right and runs along the Lake, do not go left to Pooley Bridge.
6. Approximately 2 miles further on the right hand side of the road you'll see the Knotts Mill sign
7. Turn right and then immediately left into the drive signed Knotts Mill Lodge, not straight on to Knotts Farm.
Train/Bus
1. Take the 108 bus from either Penrith train or bus station to Gowbarrow Cottages.
2. The bus will pass Knotts Mill Country Lodge and once you get off the bus backtrack down the road and Knotts Mill is visible 100m along on the left.
