The Perfect Situation in a Scottish Highland Village
The picturesque village of Kirkmichael lies in a typical Highland glen surrounded by heather covered mountains and pine forests, and has a long history stretching back more than a thousand years. Today it is a bust but peaceful community with a shop, petrol station and three hotels offering bars and meals to suit all tastes.
Further facilities including theatres, Leisure Centre and swimming pool are in the neighbouring towns of Pitlochry and Blairgowrie which are 12 miles on either side of the Kirkmichael and for the children there are play areas and a sports court. Despite the feeling of remote isolation Kirkmichael is easily accessible with the motorway system only 30 miles away, and for guests without transport London trains stop at Pitlochry and free station transfers are available. There are summer coach tours from Kirkmichael.
