| Kincraig is a family run guest house situated in the beautiful countryside of West Central Scotland between the coastal towns of Ayr and Prestwick and is within easy distance of Troon, all thriving towns in their own right and together playing host to some of the best golf courses in Scotland. To the south lies Alloway and the cottage where Robert Burns was born in 1759. |
| Accommodation at Kincraig is extremely comfortable. The substantial Victorian sandstone villa, built in 1898, offers a variety of bedroom styles all of which are well furnished and fully equipped. |
| There is an additional small cottage providing an apartment of two single rooms and one twin en-suite room which is ideal for four golfers sharing. The main house offers a total of six rooms - five twin/double en-suite rooms with either bath or shower and one single room with bathroom close by. All rooms have TV, tea and coffee making facilities and hairdryers. |
| Kincraig is licensed for guests only and offers a good selection of fine malt whisky. |
| There is plenty to do in and around Prestwick. Kincraig is situated minutes from Prestwick Indoor Bowling Complex and Northfield Bowling Club - host of Scottish and International Championships. Centrum Ice Rink is five minutes walk from the hotel - home of the Ayr Scottish Eagles ice hockey team. |
| Loudoun Castle Family Theme Park, a fantastic day out, is less than 20 minutes drive from Kincraig. There are also cricket pitches, tennis courts and a swimming pool, or if you fancy taking the kids for a trip to the seaside, there are many excellent sandy beaches less than ten minutes drive from the hotel. |
| Kincraig is situated in the heart of Scotland's 'Golf Coast' near to the championship courses Royal Troon, Turnberry, Western Gailes, Glasgow Gailes, Kilmarnock, Barassie and Irvine Bogside. The most notable is Prestwick, the Birthplace of Open Championship Golf and mecca to golfers the world over. The first Open Championship was held at Prestwick in 1860. The 'Open' was played 24 times at Prestwick - the last in 1925 - thereafter the crowds became too large. |

Situation
Getting to Kincraig could not be easier, if you are driving we are on the A79, the main coast road through Prestwick between Ayr and Troon. We are convenient for ferry travellers from Northern Ireland via Stranraer, Cairnryan or Troon (SeaCat). If you are flying from Ireland, France,Germany or England (Dublin, Paris or Stanstead) with Ryanair operating fast and frequent low-cost services to Prestwick Airport which is less than two miles from Kincraig. From other UK, European or International Airports you will arrive at Glasgow Airport which is connected to Ayrshire by excellent rail and coach routes. |
