| Three well appointed bedrooms of individual character and décor all have full en suite facilities of bath, shower, w.c and wash basin. Thoughtful touches include brightly lit mirrors, convenient shaving sockets, plenty of available shelf space, steaming hot water, thick soft towels and shining ceramic tiles. Each bedroom has tea and coffee tray, complete with home-made biscuits, iron and ironing board, fridge with a little jug of milk, an ice compartment, shoe cleaning box, hairdryer, and other little touches like padded coat hangers to make you feel at home. The three bedrooms all enjoy front views of woodland.     MENU Dinner is usually served at 7pm, and is available Monday to Friday. We are pleased to recommend some of our favouite places to eat out on Saturday & Sunday evenings, and to make a reservation for you where necessary. Little Fresh Salmon Fish Cakes with Caper Sauce Or Smoked Venison on a Green Salad & lined with a Red Wine Vinaigrette White Onion Soup garnished with Island Cheese & Crispy Bacon Or Melon Sorbet with a Lime & Ginger Syrup Roast Gigot of Colonsay Lamb spiked with Rosemary finished with a Bramble Sauce Or Local Scallops Poached in White Wine & Cream, topped with a Light Puff Pastry Shell Strawberry Brule Or Apple & Almond Crumble with Cinnamon Ice Cream Variety of Cheese served with Homemade Oatcakes Coffee or Tea & Kilmery Tablet     HOW TO FIND US By Car & Ferry: From the Erskine Bridge, whether crossing over from the M8, or passing by on the A82, the journey to the Ferry Terminal at Kennacraig, should take between 2-3 hours, depending on road conditions. Once on the A82 FOLLOW IT ALONG THE EDGE OF Loch Lomond to Tarbert, take the A83 through ARROCHAR, OVER THE 'Rest and Be Thankful' on to Inveraray and down Loch Fyne, passing Lochgilphead and Tarbert. Five miles (8km) south is the Ferry Terminal at Kennacraig. Once on the island, it's four or seventeen miles depending on port of arrival, to Kilmeny. Watch for the Kilmeny Farm signpost and follow the farm road up to the farmhouse. By Air: From Glasgow, using British Airways Express twice daily, Monday to Friday - morning flight only on Saturday. Flights operated by Loganair. By Bus: There is a connecting service to Kennacraig from Buchanan Street Bus Station in Glasgow. |
