The Ivy House is a listed Grade II Georgian residence overlooking the famous Marlborough High Street. The house, as seen today, was built in 1707 for the Earl of Aylesbury and was established as Marlborough Academy, a school for boys. The main building encloses a cobbled courtyard leading to the rear sun terrace and residents car park.

The public areas in the main building include the reception and front lounge and the Marlborough suite. Beyond is the Churchill Room leading to the Scotts Restaurant and the residential bar.
The interiors contain many architectural and decorative features which reflect its 300 year age.

The hotel has 28 bedrooms, 15 of them are of superior status. All the rooms have been individually decorated and are equipped to the latest standards expected from our discerning guests.

The Beeches wing is situated beyond Scotts Restaurant and consists of a purpose built Conference and Banqueting Suite and 16 bedrooms. The ground floor bedrooms are large and include sitting areas. There is a car park entrance to the Beeches including wheelchair access.
The Marlborough Suite is available for small, corporate meetings.
With its central location and easy accessibility Marlborough is an ideal location for Conferences, Seminars and Private Functions. The meeting room can accommodate up to 60 guests.

Marlborough, in its central location, is in easy reach of many places of interest including Silbury Hill, Stonehenge, and the lesser known Avebury, the Marlborough Downs and the Savernake Forest. The Georgian City of Bath is easily reached as are Oxford and Salisbury. Stately homes in the area include Bowood House, Littlecote, Corsham Court and Blenheim Palace.

Scott's Restaurant is pleasantly situated, south facing over the sun terrace, and is approached from the cosy residents bar. This elegant restaurant in classic Palladian style dating back to the turn of the century is the focal point for residents and visitors.
A talented team of young chefs prepare traditional and progressive style English cuisine using fresh local produce.
Nearby, the Courtyard bar offers informal atmosphere where light meals and snacks are available. During summer (weather permitting!) meals are also served on the adjacent Sun Terrace.
