| Iceni House was converted from a family home into the seven bedroom Bed & Breakfast that it is today by the owners, Mr. and Mrs. Blackburn, in November 2002. Colin and Michelle are highly experienced in hospitality and pride themselves in the individual design of their home. You will receive a warm welcome from your hosts, who will attempt to make your stay as comfortable and pleasurable as they can. The house is maintained to an excellent standard of decor and cleanliness achieving a four diamond tourist board rating on the first attempt and maintaining this for the two years which they have been established, the house has a warm and friendly atmosphere and is enviably situated seconds away from a park, which has an outdoor paddling pool (free of charge), children's play area, bowling green and tennis court. Iceni House is in a great location, minutes from the ring road. Buses run from the end of the road into the heart of the city, every ten minutes. Within walking distance of the B & B are numerous places to eat all manner of food, as well as a friendly local pub and many coffee shops, stores and other outlets. Only a ten minute walk from us is the new 'Cambridge Leisure Park' which now has a 28 lane bowling alley with arcade, various food outlets, an LA Fitness gym and a fantastic multi screen cinema with bar ! |

Iceni House has 5 double bedrooms & 2 twin bedrooms. All rooms are bright and airy, and have been individually designed to a high standard; providing comfort and charm. The rooms have been designed following different themes, offering a range of ambiances with both traditional and modern furnishings.![]() All rooms have en-suite facilties. The shower rooms are furnished using high quality products all with chrome or brass fittings and finishes. ![]() ![]() ![]() Breakfast is offered in two ways Monday - Friday Breakfast in bed - a delightful continental breakfast will be left in your room fridge for you to take at leisure the following morning. This allows us to accommodated the early riding delegate as well as the well rested tourist. Saturday and Sunday Either served in your room as above or you may wish to take breakfast in our dining room at one of two sittings - 0900 or 0945. Join other guests at our beautiful communal table. Please book this on arrival. ![]() ![]() Iceni House is located in Coleridge Road, situated on favoured south side of the city. It is easy to find, being located just off the city's ring road. By Rail: We are a ten minute walk or short taxi ride away from the railway station. Trains run to and from Cambridge regularly, from major airports and cities, including London. By Road: Coming from A14 (Huntingdon) take the M11 and come off at junction 11, following the signs into Cambridge. Turn right at the fifth set of traffic lights into Long Road. At the next set of traffic lights turn left into Hills Road. At the next set of traffic lights turn right into Cherry Hinton Road. At the second set of traffic lights turn left into Coleridge Road. We are approximately 400 yards down on the right hand side. All directions exclude pedestrian and pelican crossings. Coming from A14 (Newmarket). Take the A1303 into Cambridge, until you come to a roundabout. Go straight over the roundabout into Newmarket Road. At the next roundabout turn left into Barnwell Road. At the next roundabout go straight over into Brooks Road (pass Sainsburys on left). Go straight through traffic lights and continue to next roundabout, take a right into Radegund Road. At the junction turn left into Coleridge Road and we are approximately 400 yards down on the left hand side. Coming from M11, take junction 11, following the signs into Cambridge. Turn right at the fifth set of traffic lights into Long Road (excluding traffics lights at Pedestrian Crossings). At the next set of traffic lights turn left into Hills Road. At the next set of traffic lights turn right into Cherry Hinton Road. At the second set of traffic lights turn left into Coleridge Road. We are approximately 400 yards down on the right hand side. All directions exclude pedestrian and pelican crossings. Whilst staying at ICENI HOUSE, access to the city centre couldn't be easier. If you enjoy walking, it is a twenty minute walk to the historic city centre and main shopping area. We are situated near a main bus route which runs regularly into the city centre, railway station and the world famous Addenbrookes Teaching Hospital. |
