Just a ten minute drive from some of the glorious beaches of the English Riviera, Kingskerswell itself is a pretty village, with its thatched restaurant, village shops, post office, local amenities and a frequent bus service.
The Cottages are in a quiet backwater of the older part of the village with a south facing garden that is a real sun trap. There is a patio with table and chairs, and a barbecue for you to enjoy.
At the weekends the local cricket team play in the park which is only 3 minutes away. Here you will also find swings, slides, roundabout etc. |

This can be a relaxing holiday as you stay in Kingskerswell, an ideal holiday treat, but 2 minutes in the car and you will be on the main A380 Torquay Road where the atmosphere is completely different!
Local entertainment includes: Leisure Centres at Newton Abbot and Torquay, tennis, squash, swimming, horse riding, 18 hole golf course also driving range and 9 hole course, theatres, water activities, Buckfast Steam Railway, Buckfast Abbey and walking on Dartmoor.
The Cottages have been recently modernised but keep their own style being fully double glazed with gas central heating. |

Accommodation Level parking to front door; enter into utility room with automatic washing machine and downstairs WC and washbasin; through archway to kitchen with gas cooker, microwave, fridge, fully fitted kitchen, all cookery, saucepans, cutlery, electric kettle, toaster and iron, table and 4 chairs. The lounge has a colour TV and video.
Upstairs to bedroom 1 Double room (with extra bed) with duvets and bedding, wardrobe and dressing table.
Bedroom 2 is a twin bedded room (an extra bed can be provided), also a cot is available with duvet and bedding; along landing to bathroom with bath, WC and washbasin. All rooms are carpeted.
Gas central heating, hot water, gas cooking and linen included in terms; electricity by £1 coin slot meter. No towels are provided. |

The directions to the Cottages are as follows Route: It is recommended that you follow a route to Exeter via the M5. At Exeter take the A38 Plymouth road; after several miles bear off to the left where the road dividesand follow the A380 signposted "Torquay and English Riviera". You will come to the Penn Inn roundabout at the Newton Abbot by-pass. Get in the lane for Torquay, following the main road for exactly one mile, you will see a sign for Aller Mills, Stoneycombe and Decoy, turn right past the Barn Owl Pub and over a railway bridge, then turn left at the top of the road towards Stoneycombe.
Three quarters of a mile on you will come to a sign for Kingskerswell (Stoneycombe), keep to the left. Pass a church on the right and follow the road round to the left. Turn left over the railway bridge, immediately after bridge turn right into Daccabridge Road, at the bottom of the road turn left up the hill. Horseshoe and Honeysuckle Cottages are on the right hand side (35 and 37 Daccabridge Road). Parking directly beside cottages. |
