WELCOME
Kate and Geoff will be delighted to welcome you to their family run country house superbly located for visiting both Chatsworth and Haddon Hall and enjoying breathtaking views over the Derwent Valley.
Holmefield, a prestigious 4 red diamond awarded guest house with special good food award from the AA, is an elegant, spacious, Victorian country home located between Bakewell and Matlock and on the doorstep of the renowned Chatsworth Estate, with many other popular attractions for both young and old alike nearby.
The house is set in 3/4 of an acre of sheltered south facing gardens, enjoying uninterrupted views over the Derwent valley, which provide an enviable setting for guests to enjoy a drink and relax, light meals can also be ordered to be taken in the garden if preferred. A further delightful feature of the setting is the Historic Peak steam railway which can be seen from the house running between Matlock and Rowsley at weekends and most days during peak times, helping to create an atmosphere of a bygone era.
Holmefield provides plenty of well lit parking space with ample turning room. |

DINING ROOM
 Breakfast is taken in our spacious Dining Room which again enjoys superb views over the Derwent Valley. A wide choice of breakfast menu is offered.
We aim to cater for any specific dietary requirement, prior notice would be appreciated.
Kate extends her culinary skills acquired during her ownership of a busy restaurant, to evening meals at Holmefield. A refreshingly different menu is on offer with all dishes skillfully prepared using locally sourced fresh produce, reflected in the award for outstanding food presented to us by the AA. |

SNUG
 Guests are welcome to use the 'snug' anytime and there are ample books. Local interest leaflets and games to occupy yourself with.
A hospitality tray is also provided and there is direct access onto the sun terrace and gardens, where you are welcome to sit, enjoy a drink and soak up the views. |

BEDROOMS
All our rooms have been tastefully decorated and are well appointed, combining period furniture with modern amenities. All have en-suite shower rooms with complementary toiletries and bath robes.
Premier Rooms - Luxuriously appointed double rooms enjoying breathtaking views over the gardens and the Derwent Valley beyond. The 'Chatsworth' room has king size bed and the 'Haddon' room has a magnificent antique French double bed. Both these rooms have a sofa, television/DVD, hospitality tray, mini bar and hairdryer.
Standard Twin Room - A twin room with a window to the side enjoying views over the Derwent Valley.
This room has very comfortable twin beds with high quality co-ordinating bedspreads and curtains, complementary furniture, television, hospitality tray, mini bar and hairdryer.
Standard Rooms - Further double rooms, one with a window to the side enjoying the wooded aspect and decorated in attractive country cottage style and a further double room with views to the rear over the valley. Both rooms have t.v/dvd, hospitality tray, mini bar and hairdryer. |

TARIFF
STANDARD ROOMS - From £75 per room per night inclusive of choice of breakfast PREMIER ROOMS - From £89 - £99 per room per night inclusive of choice of breakfast. Children can be accommodated in these rooms either using the sofa bed or with put up beds at a cost of £10 per night per child.
Prices quoted reflect booking of 2 nights or more. Bookings at weekend are usually for a minimum of 2 nights. A deposit of £10 per night per room is required to secure a booking which is non refundable in the event of cancellation. In the event of late cancellation or failure to arrive, an invoice will be issued for the full amount of the agreed tariff as specified on the confirmation of booking letter. Bank holidays, Christmas, New Year, Easter and Valentines Day are excluded from the above tariff.

DIRECTIONS
We are situated three miles south of Bakewell on the A6. Go through the small village of Rowsley and carry straight on. Holmefield is located on the right hand side of the road, immediately past some open fields and before the next turning which is Dewent View. The house is clearly identified by a sign, ample parking and turning space.
From Matlock we are situated three miles to the north in the direction of Bakewell. Follow the A6 and we are situated on the left hand side after a turning for Dewent View and immediately after some open field. |
