About Looe
The historic harbour town of Looe, and its close neighbour Polperro, have attracted visitors from around the world for centuries. Although in those early days it was for devious deeds in landing contraband and "cheating the Revenue".

There has been little change in the character of the town and as with Polperro, the narrow back streets, alleyways and terraces are virtually unspoiled and unaltered. With its busy harbour and fine beach Looe has plenty to offer all the family.
Looe Beach is a fine sandy beach that spans several hundred yards with plenty of rock pools to explore. The Banjo pier shown above makes a great viewpoint for looking at the boats and surrounding countryside.
The lakes at the rear of the town run into winding waterways for some 3 miles inland, through beautiful countryside and almost undiscovered Cornwall. Kilminorth woods provides walkers with fine woodland walks and with the coastal path running through Looe some of the best scenery in Cornwall can be experienced.
There are a variety of boat trips available at the quay, from deep sea shark fishing to the more gentle trips to Polperro.

Where to find us
As you enter Looe from the Plymouth direction, continue past the filling station on your right and cross over the bridge. Turn left into West Looe and follow the harbour side and right out to the sea front. Continue past the Hannafore Point Hotel, Portuan Road is the first turning on the right. From here you are facing Hillingdon Guest House at the top of the road.
